Coorparoo Aged Care November Activities 2025 | Brisbane

November brought us together in both celebration and remembrance.
Our Takeaway Tuesday reached new heights – literally – as we gathered on the rooftop for fish and chips, drinks, and live music, with Brisbane’s skyline providing the perfect backdrop. We paused to honour Remembrance Day with a meaningful service, grateful for the courage
and sacrifice of those who served.
Our Resident Choice Menu transported us to Mexico, earning rave reviews as residents shared lovely compliments with our chefs during their rounds.
At Stitch and Chat, we welcomed Care Kits for Kids for an inspiring afternoon, learning about the backpacks provided to children in need. Our generous group handed over more than 100 handmade beanies and committed to creating more items to help.
As we moved towards summer, we reflected on a spring filled with friendship, purpose, and community spirit.

Coorparoo Community Highlights September 2025

September at Coorparoo was filled with warmth, connection, and moments that brought everyone closer together. From celebrations to farewells and fitness fun, our residents and staff embraced the spirit of community throughout the month.

We kicked off with Rooftop Riverfire 2025, a spectacular evening where residents enjoyed fish ‘n’ chips under Brisbane’s sparkling skyline. The laughter, conversation, and cheers that echoed from the rooftop reminded us that the best part of any event is the company we share it with.

Our celebration of Father’s Day 2025 was a heartfelt one, honouring the fathers and father figures in our Coorparoo community. The gentlemen were presented with small tokens of appreciation—a simple way to acknowledge their love, wisdom, and guidance over the years.

Residents also enjoyed a lovely outing to The Village Bistro, where a beautifully cooked lunch was savoured among friends. We shared birthday cheer with Barb and Maria, both of whom marked their special days surrounded by warmth and good wishes.

We also farewelled Mary, who thoughtfully gifted our walking group custom caps featuring a flower and New Zealand fern. Her kindness and energy will be missed, and we wish her all the best on her new adventures across the ditch.

To round off the month, our community danced into the week with Boogiecamp Zumba led by Olga, filling the room with rhythm, smiles, and a renewed sense of vitality.

At Coorparoo, it’s these shared experiences—big and small—that continue to make our community a truly special place to call home.

A Month of Connection and Celebration at Coorparoo Aged Care – June 2025

June 2025 was a truly memorable month at Coorparoo Aged Care, filled with sunshine, smiles, and special milestones.

We began the month with a peaceful morning rooftop exercise session. Residents enjoyed stretching gently under the warm morning sun, setting a positive tone for the day ahead. This was followed by a reflective Anglican Church service; a cherished moment for many to come together in quiet thought and spiritual connection.

Laughter echoed through the halls during our spirited indoor bowls competition. The orange and blue teams showed incredible enthusiasm, turning a friendly rivalry into a joyful and engaging activity that everyone could enjoy.

A standout highlight of the month was the heartwarming celebration of Maya’s 101st birthday. Surrounded by her loving family and serenaded by friends and fellow residents, Maya’s special day was filled with music, love, and countless smiles. Her milestone was a beautiful tribute to her inspiring life.

June reminded us all of the joy that comes from connection, celebration, and community. We look forward to creating even more special moments in the months ahead at Coorparoo Aged Care.
