If you are considering moving a loved one into an aged care home, it is essential that
you understand the entire process. To assist you in getting started, we have provided you
with 5 easy steps on how to enter Coorparoo Aged Care.

Are you eligible?
One of the first steps is to arrange a free assessment with an Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT).
This assessment is usually performed by a health professional such as a Doctor, Nurse or Social
Worker.

Finding the right aged care home
Every aged care home is different. Therefore, it is important that you have a tour of Coorparoo Aged
Care to ensure that the home suits the individual’s lifestyle and needs.

What are the costs?
You may be asked to pay towards your accommodation, care and daily living costs. The amount you
will pay will depend on your financial situation. Please refer to our ‘Payments’ section for an
explanation of fees and payments or simply visit www.myagedcare.gov.au

What is it like to live in an aged care home?
If you are offered a place by Coorparoo Aged Care, you will be required to enter into a formal residential agreement prior to moving in. This agreement will outline fees, services, and rights and responsibilities.
